Staying true to tradition, the challenge for December was to submit a festive photo. Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate. The winner, as decided by Jac's husband, is Sarah of Simply Cooked with her tempting and warming photo of Cranberry and Walnut Muffins. Congratulations Sarah and I am wanting these, just right now.
Now onto the New Year... The first challenge for 2013 is to come up with a creative vegetarian soup or salad making use of your leftovers. Holiday times and winter months always leave us with extra fare but consider that an invitation to dress up and transform the remains into a vamped up dish to satisfy the palate. No need to waste excess grains, vegetables, legumes or anything else you may have crying out for a renewed appearance on the table. All you need to do to participate is come up with your soup or salad, post about it mentioning I am the host this month with a link to this announcement, and submit your recipe via the linky tool at the end of this post by the 20th of the month.
